Help our charity Rest With Joseph and Friends (Charity No; 1186675) find land to create a burial and memorial garden for parents that have lost their sons and daughters through miscarriage.
We are a charity which was set up after Darren and Kay Collier lost their son Joseph at 23 weeks gestation. As Joseph was born sleeping before 24 weeks meant they could not get him registered. With no birth certificate, Joseph legally does not exist in their family. Joseph is currently buried in their garden awaiting his final resting place in our burial garden. The isolation, pain and suffering in silence is sadly what many other parents have gone through after losing their beloved son or daughter. Parents need to feel and have recognition for their devastating loss.
Our charity will provide comfort to parents through their grief and will provide them with a place to heal after losing their precious child. It will also give the family a dedicated area for families to be reunited back together and become complete.
Our aim is to provide a natural burial garden without the cemetery feel made up of different areas. One where parents can reflect and mourn and lay to rest their beloved son/daughter. An area dedicated for the siblings to come and play together. A tranquil area where parents, family and friends can come to terms with their devastating loss and grief. We also strive to have a memorial garden for all babies lost without registration and where they do not have a body to bury. The aim to achieve this is by a memory wall.
We continually need your help to achieve our goal. Your money that you have donated will make a difference to families in utter grief and dismay. With the help of you, we have raised significant funds during a pandemic to find land. With fund’s continuing, we need to find land that is flood free land with vehicle and pedestrian access around central Cornwall so it is easily accessible to all. We are based in St Austell and would ideally like it nearby. Can you help with this? For other easy ways to help click here.
Help us cherish these baby angel lives and help families know that they are not only in their hearts, but in all of our hearts and will be remembered in our World for eternity.
